Water is essential to life for humans, animals, and plants, water is sometimes polluted or contaminated by pathogens or impurities that could potentially cause disease, there are natural solutions for purifying water.

If we are lucky to have access to drinking water directly on tap, on holiday or abroad, this is not always the case. So, what are the tips for having purer water?

Tips On How To Purify The Water

There are different ways to filter and purify water, to make it drinkable or palatable.

If running water goes through a process of filtration and water purification systems before leaving the tap, it is possible that traces remain.

Filter jug, the easy solution

If you are afraid of consuming only tap water, you are tired of buying bottled water, and you always want freshwater available then the carafe is the easiest solution.

Just pour the water into the jug, and the filter is used to purify the water of chlorine, tartar, traces of metals etc.

The Tap Filter: A Simple And Effective Water Treatment Solution

To drink pure tap water, you have to say goodbye to lead, copper, pesticides, bacteria, chlorine and drug residues contained in it! The tap water filter features a compacted activated carbon cartridge for excellent water filtration. Almost all impurities and harmful substances are thus removed from your water very easily. No plumbing changes are necessary, and the installation is done simply by a screw system on your faucet.

A small flat for this solution: the filtration capacityof 1500 litres. You will need to change your filter on tap regularly (about every six months). Similarly, the flow is low, with an average of one litre of filtered water per minute.

Note: if you forget to change your filter, do not panic, but you still have to do it regularly! A load of your filter will result in a decrease in water flow, and the filter will no longer work compared to filtered substances.

Water Softeners

The whole house water softener systems filters the raw water from the tap to regulate the concentration of limestone in the water, which becomes less hard. Using softened water can helpthe life of appliances and pipes.

There are two types of water softeners:

  • resin softeners, which is the most common
  • C0 2 softeners, which do not require maintenance, regeneration or salt

Tips For Purifying Water

Reverse Osmosis

These water filtration systems do not use chemicals or electricity, and work through the principle of reverse osmosis: the water first passes through a micro-retention system (0.5 microns) or ” sediment filter “which retains any particles (bacteria, micro-pollutants, toxins …) ,, then it goes into an activated carbon filter or”  molecular capture  “, which eliminates organic matter, pesticides, herbicides that can give a smell or taste with water. Finally, the water is found in an electrostatic shrinkage system in the form of a very thin membrane that acts on the electromagnetic surface of the water, eliminating viruses, metals that are heavy and hydrocarbons.
